IEC motors connecting and disconnecting functionality are considered fast and well known in Europe. While ABB's connection method is standard in Europe, it is unknown in North America. To solve this, Buorre created targeted instructions in a form of animation.
The purpose of the video was to clearly demonstrate the installation and connection to this new audience. The animation process consisted of workshops, installation specifications, scripting, product rendering, animation production and the finalization of the final video.
The connection was demonstrated with a 355 frame-size motor to show how easy it is to connect ABB IEC motors. The video goes through the installation process, delta connection, making a star or Y connection, as well as replacing an ABB motor.
The outcome was an informational video, which works well to explain the connection method to the new audience.
