
When working with a brand as iconic as Fiskars, success isn't measured in single projects, but in years of trust and evolution. Every touchpoint must reflect their heritage of quality. Our collaboration began with the comprehensive rebranding of their Garden packaging lines and quickly blossomed into a deep, multi-disciplinary partnership. This journey allowed us to move beyond the role of a service provider to become a dedicated guardian of the Fiskars brand across countless touchpoints.
Fiskars’s big challenge had long been to find a cost-effective solution for sales stands placed in retailers’ premises. Thousands of Fiskars-style stands were needed, and therefore the costs were simply too high. Fiskars held discussions with several design agencies, where the costs of a single sales stand were repeatedly estimated to be well above the target range. Discussions were also held with us. Based on previous experience, we concluded that it is possible to implement a single stand for as much as three times less than competitors’ estimates. The key to the problem was to implement a modular sales stand that can be easily modified, for example, according to the seasons and changing themes. In other words, one frame that can be used to hang almost all of Fiskars’ different products, from garden rakes to snow shovels. Changing marketing materials is also easy. At Buorre, we were responsible for the industrial design and graphic design of the stands. Practical and impressive stands can be found in hardware stores and supermarkets all over the country.

Our primary goal was to support Fiskars' thriving business by staying perfectly aligned with their brand vision through every season. This required a relationship built on deep mutual understanding and the ability to anticipate their needs. Whether the objective was high-level industrial design for new product series, maintaining a cohesive look across hundreds of packaging variations, or developing cost-effective retail solutions, the ultimate goal remained the same: keeping the client’s brand strong, consistent, and market-leading.
As the collaboration quickly developed into a partnership, our role was to be responsible for the in-store visibility of all of Fiskars' garden products. We redesigned the look of all existing packaging and designed the packaging and presentation of new products. Over the years, huge quantities of packaging, store furniture and display products were made. In addition, we designed a bold garden product series for Fiskars, especially designed for women, using shades that are not typical for Fiskars, such as pink. The design and implementation included the design concept, product graphics, packaging, stands, and store displays.

Throughout the years, we approached every task—from the Fiskars Inspiration™ series to complex retail display systems—with the same high standards. By getting to know their internal processes and brand DNA on a deeper level, we could act with incredible agility. For instance, when Fiskars needed to optimize their retail presence, we leveraged our deep understanding of their product catalog to design modular shop racks that were both highly functional and production-efficient. Our work spanned industrial design, graphic identity, and full-scale retail conceptualization, ensuring that every project contributed to a unified and powerful brand presence.
