Animation projects for the New Children's Hospital

The New Children's Hospital, located in Meilahti, Helsinki, is a hospital specializing in advanced pediatric care and was opened in September 2018. The New Children's Hospital treats patients ranging from newborns to 15-year-olds. Buorre had the honor of participating in the hospital project by creating two impressive animation videos for the hospital.

Animations Created Entirely by Buorre

The first animation explains how the multi-service system, available to every inpatient, works and highlights its various impressive features. The second animation provides a child-friendly overview of patient registration at the New Children's Hospital, which is done using a convenient appointment booking system. The practical implementation of these animations, which were planned and scripted together with the client, was entirely handled by Buorre – even the amazing voice actor for Naava the Fox was found in-house.

The main character of the animations, Naava the Fox, is an approachable and encouraging figure that captures children's interest.

Animations Turn a Hospital Visit into an Adventure

The animations were created with great care for the hospital's young patients. The primary goal of the animations is to alleviate fears related to the hospital and turn the children's hospital experience into an exciting adventure. At the same time, the aim was to explain, as clearly and child-friendly as possible, how the processes at the New Children's Hospital work in practice. As can be seen from the final results below, these objectives were excellently achieved. The animations have been very well received by the target audience.
